Hans Andreasson
Born 1955, MSc, Mphil, MBA (INSEAD), Partner and Investment Director

Andreasson started his career in 1979 as a researcher with EKA Nobel AB, working on gas adsorption and catalysis. In 1982, he joined Katalistiks BV (Amsterdam, NL), a high-tech start-up venture in the petroleum catalysis business, founded by EKA Nobel. He assumed sales/tech service responsibility for customers in all German-and French-speaking countries as well as Eastern Europe. He was instrumental in Katalistiks achieving market leadership in record time. Katalistiks was subsequently sold to Union Carbide.

From 1987 to 1994, he worked as a management consultant for Arthur D. Little International Inc. in Brussels. His clients were European life science, food and chemical companies. Assignments focused on strategy and M&A. He was a founding member of Arthur D Little 's Stockholm office and was elected Associate Director in 1993.

Andreasson joined Pharmacia Diagnostics AB in 1994 as Vice President Business Development and Legal Affairs and a member of the Executive Management Group.He concluded several licensing deals. He also spearheaded the acquisition of Elias GmbH, a German biotech and diagnostics company with sales of DEM 25 million and 120 employees.

Early in 1998, he took over the management of Elias with the mission of integrating technology, sales and marketing with Pharmacia 's operations.

In 1999, Andreasson co-founded the venture capital fund Innoventus, with SEK 300 million under management, and served as CEO from its inception. The investment focus was life science, with a particular interest in the Uppsala/Stockholm region. In October 2002, Innoventus merged operations with SLS Venture.

Andreasson has broad-based international experience and an extensive network. He has lived and worked in six countries. He is fluent in English, German and French. He is a board member of AdvanDx Inc, Aerocrine AB and Quiatech AB.
