Mikael Mortensen
Born 1965, MSc, CFO and Partner

Prior to joining SLS Venture in 2004, Mortensen was CFO at Melacure Therapeutics AB, a position he held between 2001 and 2004. During that period, Mortensen, in addition to his regular CFO duties, also built up and implemented an advanced controlling and internal reporting system for Group Management and the Board of Directors.

Before that, Mortensen held the position as acting Group Controller and Financial Manager at SchlumbergerSema (acquired by WM-data), where he was responsible for consolidating fifteen Nordic subsidiaries and financial reporting to the Group’s UK headquarters. Between 1989 and 2000, Mortensen held various CFO positions at ETOUR, County Administration of Jämtland, Swedish National Board of Student Aid (CSN) and Riksbyggen AB.

During his career, Mortensen has developed an extensive knowledge in the area of financial control that is vital in the development and implementation of advanced controlling systems for SLS Venture’s portfolio companies.
